Big Favor

I was going to begin this post by saying that we never ask you for much, but then I realized that most of you are our supporters, so that isn't true.  Even when we don't ask, you show us love in many wonderful ways that we can't even begin to express our gratitude for.  That said, we have a BIG favor to ask of you.

One of the reasons that we left Lal and came here to M-ville is because of the family focus of the team here.  When you have a cute little fart like Little t, you don't want him to be the only little person.  We have really really loved being in community with other families.  I won't lie, it has not been easy every day, but it has been good.

Sadly, the state of our familial team (sounds weird doesn't it?) is on the rocks right now.  One family will be leaving for home assignment in a month and will not return to M-ville when/if they return to this crazy country.  The other two families are committed to continuing togo strong here on one condition...that a teacher is found for their kids.

We are very excited that the teacher here is currently packing her bags and moving back to the States to get married. We are very nervous because another teacher has not been found (the search has been on for months and leads have fizzled out...and right now, we got nothin!)  If a teacher is not found soon (like really pretty soon) one of the families will leave M-ville and the other one will try homeschooling (with the help of A and I) for a while before they will most likely leave as well. This would leave us as the only family unit in M-ville.

Both of these families are friends of ours. They have both sacrificed TONS to be here and are doing exceptional work.  It would be very very sad to see them leave because they can't educate their kids in this place.

So, that is where you come in.

We are looking for a teacher (retired, current, newly graduated, dog obedience school, whatever) to come and be a part of our team and teach these kids.  There are two delightful British kids (boy 8 and girl 6) and two wonderful kids from Finland (girl 10 and boy 6). There are also two babies who are awesome (Little t is the cutest on the team obviously...and no I am NOT biased!). The team is made up of four couples and two single women.  You would have a place to stay, opportunities for life experiences here and life in a community of believers.

These families are serious enough about being here that they are willing to pay a stipend to a teacher (and that is huge coming from people who raise their own support). So part of your money would be raised already.

We need someone like...yesterday. So if you are interested or know someone who might be interested, get in contact with me (leave me a comment to let me know).  This would be an amazing (and challenging experience) for the right person.  Please give some thought and pra.yer to this...you could be impacting eternity in major ways if you helped us out. Both of these families have deep roots and relationships here and we would all be sad to see them go.  So, please let us know if you (or someone you know) can help us out.  Thanks

  1. WE continue to beat the bushes on this one and keep presenting the need to the one who can provide. Since reading that dog obedience teacher qualifies ... maybe that will help.
